Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 29, 2026

Last updated: July 29, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes the planned behavior of Home Pool as a static information site for U.S. residential pool owners. The policy must be reviewed against the actual hosting, contact, analytics, advertising, and embedded-service configuration before publication.

2. Information visitors actively provide

The current feature plan has no user accounts, comments, user submissions, contact form, email subscription, payments, downloads requiring registration, or community features. Accordingly, the planned site does not ask visitors to submit names, email addresses, payment details, profiles, or article comments.

3. Technical data processed by hosting and security systems

Even a static website normally requires hosting and network infrastructure. Those providers may process IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, user-agent strings, referrer information, and security events to deliver content, prevent abuse, and maintain logs.

The hosting provider, log retention, security services, and geographic processing locations have not been selected in this source package. Their actual practices must be documented during implementation.

4. Analytics

The current feature profile disables analytics. No analytics platform, traffic-measurement script, session-replay tool, or behavioral profiling service is specified.

If analytics is introduced, the site operator must evaluate consent and disclosure requirements, identify the provider and data elements, configure retention, and update this policy before collection begins.

5. Cookies and local storage

The current feature profile does not use tracking cookies or advertising identifiers. A hosting or security provider may use strictly necessary cookies or similar storage only if the implemented service requires them.

Any future search preferences, consent controls, embedded media, or third-party services must be tested for storage behavior and described here.

6. Advertising and affiliate links

The current plan contains no advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content, or cross-site marketing pixels. Product references are editorial and are not tied to commissions.

If monetization is added, the operator must create clear disclosures and update privacy and cookie practices before launch.

7. Third-party links

Articles link to government agencies, safety organizations, academic programs, manufacturers, and other sources. Following a link takes the visitor to a third party with its own privacy practices. Home Pool does not control those external sites.

Links are provided for evidence and further reading, not as a promise about another site’s security, availability, or data handling.

8. Children’s privacy

The planned site provides information to homeowners and caregivers and is not directed to children as an online service. It does not knowingly request personal information from children under the current static feature set.

Pool-safety articles may discuss children, but that subject matter does not require a child to submit data. Any future interactive child-oriented feature would require a separate legal and privacy review.

9. Data retention

It does not contain visitor submissions.

Hosting and security logs, if any, must use retention periods appropriate to operational and security needs once a provider is selected. Contact records will require a defined retention and deletion practice if a contact channel is activated.

10. Security

The future operator should use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the implemented site. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Static delivery reduces some application risks but does not eliminate domain, hosting, dependency, access-control, or configuration risks.

11. U.S. state privacy rights

Privacy rights and obligations can depend on the visitor’s state, the operator’s identity, the scale and purpose of processing, and the implemented features.

A live operator must provide a working request channel and any required notices before processing personal information covered by applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy should be updated when the site adds a contact channel, analytics, cookies, advertising, affiliates, accounts, comments, subscriptions, payments, downloads, embedded services, or a new hosting or security provider. The effective and update dates should change with material revisions.
